How to play Triple Daily
Find one word that satisfies three distinct definitions. You get one guess for each clue, for a maximum of three guesses.
The rules
- Clue 1 is visible when the puzzle begins.
- Submit one single-word guess. Letter case does not matter.
- A correct guess solves the case immediately.
- A wrong guess is consumed and unlocks the next clue.
- After a third miss, the answer and all three explanations are revealed.
A worked example
Clue 1: A place money is stored.
Clue 2: The side of a river.
Clue 3: To tilt an aircraft while turning.
Answer: BANKEach definition points to the exact same spelling, but the meanings belong to finance, geography, and aviation.
Strategy tips
- Keep several possibilities alive after the first clue instead of committing to its most obvious answer.
- When a new clue appears, switch semantic domains completely. A noun may also work as a verb.
- Look for common short words with concrete and figurative uses.
- Do not hunt for letter patterns: Triple gives semantic clues, not spelling hints.
